Case Study

Software - Major Real Estate Firm

Oak Brook, IL

Business Challenge

RPAI was being spun off from Inland Western and had to establish its own IT systems, infrastructure, ERP systems, etc. within a very compressed time frame. Real Foundations was hired to establish a new instance of the Oracle JD Edwards ERP System. Not just had the new ERP system to be up and running within 10 weeks, we also needed substantial modifications and enhancements to the system, yet had no access to the source code of the original modifications. Real Foundations needed a full development team consisting of on-shore as well as off-shore resources within 4 weeks. The team had to have full knowledge of the JD Edwards development tools, had to have prior real estate experience, and had to be very senior and experienced in order to reverse engineer the old system based on screenshots, reports and user descriptions, and redevelop the new system with very limited specification.

ixStrata Solution

We turned to ixStrata who we had a high level of confidence in due to prior relationships. ixStrata was able to accomplish the impossible – put an entire team in place within 4 weeks and deliver against substantial odds. ixstrata provided a team of 8 developers and all the software development infrastructure (including progress and bug tracking software) which made the project not just easier to manage but sped up the development process and provided for excellent and efficient team communications. The client went live on the target date and the project has been a 100% success. We are retaining ixStrata for ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the system as everybody is very satisfied with their skills, speed and responsiveness.
